A few years ago I was given an assignment to create a comic inspired by the life of an artist. My artist was Gian Lorenzo Bernini, he was a sculptor and architect during the baroque period. I drew his sculptures for this comic, to show his ability to turn stone to flesh. The more I drew his sculptures the more I admired the art form.
Since then I have loved sculptures and have a great appreciation for the artists who can create flesh from marble. The more I drew sculptures the better I got at identifying shadows and highlights. Drawing these sculptures allowed for my artistic ability to grow.
I have added to the drawing collection since and hope to continue adding digital drawings inspired by sculptures.
